Care requirements:

Aim to keep your soil damp not wet or soggy. Your plant will arrive in a very well draining potting mix so watering once or twice a week  should be fine during the growing season. I would drop this down to once a week in winter.

Philodendron verrucosum will not be happy in bright direct light, indirect bright light is ideal. No direct sunlight unless it is early morning or late afternoon. This Philodendron is a climber so it will look its best if provided with a totem to grow on.

This is a tropical plant so it will look its best given plenty of warmth and humidity. I have found the ideal growing temperature to be 20 – 26c° during the day and a few degrees lower at night.  Humidity is this plant’s friend: the more you can provide, the happier it will be. Ideally you want to aim for about 60%+.  If you don’t have a humidifier then either group your plants together or place pot on a tray of pebbles that are always wet as this will help to create a micro climate around the plant.

I use a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month at 50% strength.
