Description

Only water this Alocasia once the potting mix has dried out. Your plant will arrive in a very well draining potting mix so watering once  a week should be fine during the growing season.

Alocasia zebrina prefer bright lighting but try to avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves.

This is a tropical plant so it will look its best given plenty of warmth and humidity. I have found the ideal growing temperature to be 19 – 26c° during the day and a few degrees lower at night.  Humidity is this plant’s friend: the more you can provide, the happier it will be. Ideally you want to aim for about 60%+.  If you don’t have a humidifier then either group your plants together or place pot on a tray of pebbles that are always wet as this will help to create a micro climate around the plant.

I use a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month at 50% strength.
